Job Summary: Performance Paving Services Inc. (PPSI) is preparing for the winter season and seeking skilled individuals to join our Winter Services Department. As a trusted provider of seasonal maintenance solutions in Edmonton and the surrounding areas, we specialize in delivering reliable snow removal and ice management services to our clients.
Available Positions:
- Snow Removal Equipment Operators
- Sidewalk Snow Removal Technicians
- Parking Lot Sanding Crew Members
- Ice Control Specialists
- Snow Removal Equipment Operators
Responsibilities:
- Operate various snow removal equipment to clear snow and ice from roadways, parking lots and sidewalks
- Perform sidewalk snow removal using manual tools and equipment, ensuring safe pedestrian access
- Apply sand and de-icing materials to surfaces to prevent slip hazards and maintain traction
- Monitor weather conditions and respond promptly to snow and ice events as needed
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and complete assignments safely and efficiently
Requirements:
- Previous experience in snow plowing, sidewalk snow removal, parking lot sanding, or ice control is preferred
- Ability to operate snow removal equipment and machinery safely and effectively
- Physical stamina and ability to perform outdoor work in cold and challenging conditions
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for certain positions
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
- Willingness to work flexible hours, overtime, and holidays as needed
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Expected Hours: No less than 40 per week
Schedule: On-call, Shift work, Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
