Job Summary: Performance Paving Services Inc. (PPSI) is seeking a skilled truck driver to join our base crew. As a leading provider of construction and paving services in Edmonton and the surrounding areas, we rely on experienced truck drivers to transport materials and equipment safely and efficiently to and from job sites.
Job Duties:
- Drive work truck with trailer to and from job sites, ensuring timely arrival and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Work with crew under the direction of the foreman, assisting with various tasks as needed.
- Complete pre-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure safe operating conditions.
- Participate in and comply with all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for tasks performed on-site.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience driving a truck and trailer in a road construction or similar setting.
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Completion of CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 training (both available for free on the Alberta Construction Association website).
- Physical stamina and ability to work long hours in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract Length: 6 months
Expected Hours: 40-60 per week
Schedule: Flexible, as per project requirements
Work Location: In person, various job sites in Edmonton and the surrounding areas
